LDR3012/3 Guidelines for Leadership

Welcome!

Welcome to this research guide for Guidelines for Leadership. This guide will help you find resources that you can use for your course project and CRA paper.

The selection and development of Christian leaders is one of the major challenges the church faces as it nears the twenty-first century. This course provides students with a contemporary theology of Christian leadership. Unit 1 discusses leadership theory, style, and power, with applications to Christian leadership. Unit 2 presents servanthood leadership as a model for Christian leaders and covers biblical principles, crucial values, and priorities of servant leaders. Biblical case studies that demonstrate important leadership principles are the focus of Unit 3. Unit 4 provides practical help with major leadership functions: reproducing leaders, implementing organizational change, leading small groups, and evaluating leadership objectives.

Global University does not necessarily agree with all the views represented in the resources in this guide. These are provided for the student to contrast and compare with the Biblical text and ideas presented in the Global University IST.
